  • 2016: Transitioned from a captive to a fully commercial insurance and reinsurance company.
  • 2017: Our medical and life insurance plans covered 3,000 lives.
  • 2023: Licensed by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) to provide compulsory health insurance.
  • 2024: Proudly serving 170,000 lives through our medical and life insurance plans

Shareholding and Expansion

The transformation from a captive to a fully commercial operation retained the shareholding structure of GIS and QP. Al Koot is expanding its footprint across Qatar and the GCC region, offering comprehensive insurance solutions to a wide range of clients.

Following this transformation, Al Koot achieved an S&P rating of A- in 2015, underscoring our financial stability and operational excellence.
